About Investment Challenge
The Investment Challenge is a youth empowerment initiative that aims to offer immersive experience of financial securities investment and trading to the young people of Lesotho. The challenge is targeted at enhancing modern financial literacy among Basotho youth through an organised competition of financial securities investments. The key underpin of the approach of the challenge is the embracement of the technology and digital innovation to democratise and simplify access and meaningful participation of Basotho youth in the modern financial markets.
Each participant shall be credited with an imaginary R100 000 in their South African demo account and $10 000 in their USD demo account with Easy Equities. The SA account enables investing on Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) and the USD account allows investing in securities listed in United States of America. Participants will have six months to buy and sell financial securities with the goal of maximising the investment return earned. Participants can invest across stocks, ETFs, Crypto and Property. The winner of the challenge will be those with the highest investment interest at the end of the competition. Amazing prizes are up for grabs for the top performers including amazing cash prizes.
